Combine the best highlights Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe has to offer. Start your tour in Namibia and drive via the Kavango and Zambezi Region (former called Caprivi Strip) to Botswana and Zimbabwe and then back to Namibia for your return flight via a different route. Explore all the famous national parks en route and watch fantastic and extraordinary wildlife! We ensure you travel in a comfortable and safe 4x4 vehicle and provide you with a detailed itinerary including driving directions and GPS coordinates of your accommodations.

Day 1 - Welcome to Namibia

On your arrival at Hosea Kutako International Airport near Windhoek, you will pick-up your rental car, then drive to Voigtland Guesthouse, which is located between Windhoek and the airport. The pool at the guesthouse offers relaxation and well-being with a view of the waterhole where giraffes and other animals may linger.

Day 2 - Waterberg Pleateau  Park

After a relaxed breakfast your journey takes you via Okahandja to the Waterberg Plateau Park. Your overnight stay will be at the Waterberg Wilderness Lodge, which shelters in a long valley in the midst of the Waterberg mountain range. Built from red Waterberg sandstone, the lodge accommodation nestles under enormous old trees.

Day 3 -  Etosha National Park

After a good breakfast your journey takes you via Otjiwarongo and Outjo to the Etosha Safari Camp, which is only 10 km away from Andersson Gate at the southern side of the Etosha National Park. Today you will have the opportunity to drive into the National Park to watch many different antelope species, giraffe, elephant and with some luck even lion, hyena, leopard and rhino. The lodge also offers guided morning and afternoon excursions to Etosha National Park.

Day 4 - Driving through the Etosha National Park

Today’s journey takes you through the Etosha National Park where you will have the opportunity to enjoy the variety of wildlife seen from the road and at the numerous waterholes. You can stop at Halali for lunch or a small break to stretch your legs. After that, you continue your journey to the Von Lindequist Gate and exit the park, making for the Mushara Bush Camp, your accommodation for the night.

Day 5  - Direction Zambezi Region (former Caprivi)

Your journey continues today in the direction of Rundu. As the day progresses, the surroundings become more rural and culturally traditional. Welcome to the Kavango region! Hakusembe River Lodge is situated in a green oasis on the banks of the Okavango River. Here you will be warmly welcomed and pampered after a long journey. Later in the afternoon, take a boat trip and experience the spectacular Okavango river landscape at sunset.

Day 6 and day 7 - Direction Bwabwata National Park and Popa Falls

You continue your journey to the northeast of Namibia to the former “Caprivizipfel", now called the Zambezi Region. Scenically, it impresses with its dense trees and many streams. Here live fascinating Namibian ethnic groups and an overwhelming number of animals and birds. Riverdance Lodge which enjoys a water side location, is only 24 km from the small town of Divundu. It offers the ideal base to explore Popa Falls, Mahango Game Reserve and Bwabwata National Park, all within an hour's drive from the lodge. The peaceful and secluded location of Riverdance will suit individual travellers and families alike.

Day 8 and day 9 - From Namibia to Botswana, Chobe National Park

Welcome to Botswana! Your accommodation for the next days will be Chobe Safari Lodge. Drive slowly through the settlements, looking for elephants and the rare African wild dogs. In the late afternoon you can take a relaxing boat trip and gain wonderful impressions of the water worlds of the Chobe Nature Reserve.

Day 10 and day 11 - Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe

After a satisfying breakfast, you will drive to Zimbabwe, where you can look forward to a memorable stay in the small town of Victoria Falls, popular with tourists. Your accommodation for the next two days is Batonka Guesthouse, which is just a few minutes from the famous waterfalls. After arriving at the guesthouse, you can relax by the pool or explore the city on foot, where you can enjoy the many souvenir shops, bars, cafes and a diverse range of activities on offer.

Day 12 - Botswana 

You will be slowly making your way southwards and to your next accommodation. Elephant Sands is a bush lodge in the north-eastern part of Botswana, south of Kasane. Come and enjoy viewing the elephants at the natural waterhole right in front of the lodge. Watch these impressive creatures whilst they drink only a couple of meters away from you, a truly unique experience!

Day 13 and day 14 - Nxai Pan National Park and Makgadikgadi Pans National Park

After a hearty breakfast, today's route takes you into the Nxai Pan and Makgadikgadi Pans National Park region. The Nxai Pan is one of the salt marshes of Makgadikgadi. Herbivores such as zebra, springbok, gnu, elephant and giraffe are at home here. Leopard Plains is the perfect base to explore these parks.

Day 15 - Back to Namibia

You have one last overnight stop in Tshootsha before you cross the border of Botswana to Namibia. Your host Riana at Jungle Light Rest Camp will be waiting for you with a delicious dinner, where your senses will be delighted by the indigenous cuisine.

Day 16 - Relax before your return flight

Today you cross the border to Namibia. Onjala Lodge is situated close to the airport where you will spend your last night. The lodge is set against a mountainside in a small, private nature reserve with exceptional views over the Orumbungu Valley, an environment where resident game roam freely. The Spa at Onjala is truly worth a relaxing treatment before you fly back home.

Day 17 - Depature Day

Today you will start your last day with a hearty breakfast at the lodge, where you can relax until you have to leave for your departure from Windhoek International Airport. Here you will drop-off your rental car at the Car Rental counter and board for your return flight after an unforgettable experience, exploring Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe.
